The Seattle Seahawks are trying to keep pace with the 1st place San Francisco 49ers in the NFC West, so it's key they have all hands on deck against the Cleveland Browns.

The Seahawks are one step closer to that goal after the latest news regarding Pro Bowl wide receiver Tyler Lockett and Pro Bowl safety Jamal Adams: Both players are expected to play on Sunday, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Friday he expects both players to play, so it's good to see that stay on track.

This is obviously big considering how good the Browns are on the defensive side of the ball. With D.K. Metcalf returning from injuries that caused him to miss Week 7, the Seahawks now have their top-2 wideouts ready to go. On top of Kenneth Walker III not even having an injury designation.

The Browns are sneaky good on offense, even without quarterback Deshaun Watson, which is why the Adams news is also big. He's still getting back on track from the torn quadriceps that had him contemplating retirement at one point. He did play 100% of defensive snaps against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 7, so it'll be interesting to see if that happens again this week.

As for starting guard Phil Haynes, who was listed as doubtful heading into the weekend, it sounds like he'll miss this week. But, he should be good to go in Week 9, according to Carroll.

“We took an extra week because it kind of nagged with him," Carroll told reporters Friday. "We took an extra week to get him back. Next week he should be ready to go.”

The Seahawks like to line up Lockett all over the formation, so there's a good chance he'll see all three of the Browns' impressive corner trio made up of Denzel Ward, Martin Emerson Jr., and Greg Newsome II. With Metcalf on the field and Jaxon Smith-Njigba coming off the best game of his young career – the Seahawks are in good shape to crack the code that is this Browns defense.
