The Green Bay Packers will be as healthy as they have been all season to face the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field this Sunday. After missing three of the last four games because of a back injury, All-Pro cornerback Jaire Alexander is active for the week 8 divisional matchup.

Linebacker De’Vondre Campbell, tight end Luke Musgrave, and center Josh Myers, who were questionable as well, are all active and good to go.

The star cornerback practiced on Friday on a limited basis, and his status was day-to-day, according to head coach Matt LaFleur. He felt well, so he will be available to cover rookie Jordan Addison — there won't be another matchup against Justin Jefferson because the Vikings star receiver is on the injured reserve.

Rasul Douglas, Keisean Nixon, Carrington Valentine, and Corey Ballentine are the other active cornerbacks for the game. Robert Rochell, recently signed off the Carolina Panthers' practice squad, is a healthy scratch.

The defense will also have the return of former first-team All-Pro off-ball linebacker De'Vondre Campbell, who hasn’t played since week 3 because of a high ankle sprain.

The biggest surprise is tight end Luke Musgrave. He was expected to miss some time because of an ankle injury, but his recovery went better than previously expected and he is active.

Center Josh Myers is also good to go, so the offensive line will have Rasheed Walker, Elgton Jenkins, Myers, Jon Runyan, and Zach Tom.

Watson and Jones

The Packers are going to have their two most explosive offensive weapons. Wide receiver Christian Watson and Aaron Jones are close to 100% and didn't receive an injury designation for this game. They are active, and the expectation is they will have a bigger workload — even though Matt LaFleur stressed on Friday that Jones is not fully healthy yet, so they will be "smart" with his usage.

Injured reserve

While Jaire Alexander is going to play, it doesn't mean the secondary is at full strength. Cornerback Eric Stokes (hamstring) and safety Darnell Savage (calf) were placed on injured reserve and will miss at least four games.

At cornerback, they will keep the same lineup that has played — Stokes came off PUP last week and injured himself again before playing a single defensive snap. At safety, veteran Jonathan Owens will replace Savage to play alongside Rudy Ford.

Packers inactive list for week 8

For the second week in a row, the Packers didn't elevate any players from the practice squad for gameday. Therefore, they only needed to inactivate five players from the 53-man roster for the matchup.
