The Las Vegas Raiders have been making some crazy but important decisions all Tuesday and Wednesday morning. They fired Josh McDaniels, Dave Ziegler, and Mick Lombardi.
Then they named Antonio Pierce as interim head coach, Champ Kelly as interim GM, and have now found a new offensive coordinator to call the plays on offense.
According to Ian Rapoport, the Raiders are naming quarterbacks coach Bo Hardegree as their new play-caller. This could end up paying off big time, too.
We don't know exactly how Hardegree will call plays, but we do know that he comes from the Adam Gase tree, and Gase worked well with Peyton Manning. So, there is something there. However, Gase also didn't work out in Miami well or in New York with the Jets.
Only time will tell, but who knows? This offense can't get much worse.
