Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown is your NFC Offensive Player of the Month for October and for all of the right reasons.

Brown had a historic run last month, becoming the first NFL player ever to record six-straight games of 125-plus receiving yards.

He surpassed Hall of Famer Calvin Johnson along the way.

"You've got to be humble in this game. You've got to be able to prove it each and every week. That's what I'm trying to do," Brown said of breaking Johnson's record in the Eagles' win over the Washington Commanders on Oct. 29. "I'm trying to come in and work and try to be better each and every day."

Here's a look at Brown's last six games, five of which happened in the month of October:

Week 8 @ Commanders: 8 catches, 130 yards, and 2 TDs
Week 7 vs. Dolphins: 10 catches, 137 yards, and 1 TD
Week 6 @ Jets: 7 catches, 131 yards
Week 5 @ Rams: 6 catches, 127 yards
Week 4 vs. Commanders: 9 catches, 175 yards, and 2 TDs
Week 3 @ Buccaneers: 9 catches, 131 yards

Heading into Week 9 and midway through the season, Brown is just 61 yards away from reaching 1,000. He is on pace for finishing the year with 1,995 yards, which would be another first for the NFL.

His quarterback isn't the least bit surprised.

“He’s doing really impressive things,” Eagles' QB Jalen Hurts said. “He’s playing at a very high level and consistent and as a friend, I know what his mentality is and where it's coming from.

“It's no surprise in the way he works, what he does in the offseason, where his mentality is. … I'm proud of him as a friend and as a quarterback and I’m proud that he's truly invested into winning and putting the team first and doing whatever he needs to do in his role to win.”
