The Dallas Cowboys take on the Philadelphia Eagles in a Week 9 showdown that could shift the dynamic of the division and even of the NFC.

The Eagles are the unsurprising favorite entering this game, which is to be expected from a 7-1 squad playing at home.

To get you ready for the game, we've compiled the top stories of the week with everything you need to know about these two teams squaring off against each other. Let's dive in!

Cowboys need to make an obvious decision to beat Philly

The Cowboys must allow hand reigns to Dak Prescott if they want to win this one. It's crystal clear it's the best way to beat an Eagles defense that ranks 2nd in rush EPA/play in early downs. Meanwhile, Philadelphia's secondary could struggle against CeeDee Lamb and company with their heavy-zone scheme

The Eagles have struggled against bunch and trips looks, something the Cowboys used a whole lot in Week 8 to beat the L.A. Rams. Read more about why Dallas should let Dak cook below.

That means a potential CeeDee Lamb takeover

The way the Cowboys utilized Lamb last weekend should be the blueprint moving forward. Instead of letting him work from the slot only, Mike McCarthy moved him around. Particularly, what changed is Lamb got more isolated looks.

This allowed No. 88 to get one-on-one looks and favorable matchups. There's no reason why that shouldn't continue moving forward. Check out what the Cowboys did to unleash Lamb in the article below.

Can the Cowboys stop the tush push?

Dan Quinn suggested they've got something new they'll be testing out when the inevitable happens on Sunday: The Tush Push.

It's hard to understand what that means, but A to Z Sports' own Tyler Browning took a look at what has worked before against the play: "Have a very athletic defender jump over the offensive linemen and make the stop (easier said than done)." Check out more on how the Cowboys can beat the Eagles in this play:

Cowboys Injury Report

Two players are questionable at the time of this writing for the Cowboys: Tyron Smith and Chuma Edoga.

Mike McCarthy indicated the team would know about Smith's status before boarding the plane on Saturday. The Cowboys could sure use their All-Pro tackle against this Eagles' defensive front. But there's a key injury in Philly's O-line that Dallas could exploit. Read more about it below.

New ace on Cowboys' special teams?

According to McCarthy, Sam Williams will be the special teams captain on Sunday's game. Last weekend, he blocked a punt for a safety and made big-time plays from the gunner position, a fantastic feat for a DE. The second-year player is making a serious push for more playing time, learn more about it below.
