The NFL world is trying to find out if Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was already dealing with an injured wrist leading up to Thursday night's 34-20 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

There's an ongoing investigation into whether or not the Bengals failed to include Burrow on the injury report, which is surrounded by deleted footage of an unknown wrap around Burrow's right hand.

According to one NFL insider, that wrap/brace was independent from the injury Burrow sustained Thursday night.

NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reports that Burrow wasn't dealing with an injury leading up to the game, and that the sprained wrist was indeed a new injury that came from the game itself.

"Here's my understanding of the week of practice that Joe Burrow had. He did not miss any reps. He looked really good. He was full participation. I also have no knowledge of him dealing with anything and from my understanding, it seems that the wrap, or device, or whatever he had on his hand was different from whatever injury he sustained; the sprained wrist that he had in the game. That is based on talking to sources over the last couple hours and we will see what the NFL gets into." – NFL Media's Ian Rapoport

This coincides with the non-existent reporting of any injury Burrow was dealing with this week, as well as his absence from the injury report. If Burrow was receiving treatment for an injury, or if it was even slightly impacting him at practice, the Bengals would've been obligated to include on the injury report, regardless of his participation level.

For example, cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt was listed on this week's injury report as a full participant with a finger injury. Taylor-Britt started the game and left with a quad injury, which he re-injured after initially suffering it a few weeks prior. He was listed as a full participant with a quad injury on the Week 10 injury report.

The NFL will continue to investigate the Bengals, but as of now, it doesn't seem like there's much to uncover.
