The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 2-0 and heading into a tough game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The 2-0 start comes as a bit of a surprise in Tampa based on some negative projections for the team due to several key player losses, but the Bucs are rolling, and the Eagles should be a great test for Baker Mayfield and company.

The Bucs don't need to win this game-they just have to show that they belong in a likely playoff spot-something that became more clear today with implosions by the rest of the NFC South-including one such loss for the Saints that saw Jameis Winston back on the field in relief of an injured Derek Carr.

There isn't a rational Buccaneers fan that actually worries about the prospect of having to play Winston.

While not much information has come out regarding Carr, his injury, and the likely timetable for a return, it does seem very likely that New Orleans could be forced to turn to Winston next week for a full game.

Just imagine how many times Winston is going to help out his former team when he has to play that defense.

The Buccaneer defense has been one of the best in the NFL through the first few games. Winston's career doesn't paint the picture of confidence in regards to his abilities to keep up with a unit that good.

There is still a lot that can change during the next week, but it does look like the Bucs have just become even bigger favorites in this game and favorites to win the NFC South.
