The Philadelphia Eagles will be without starting nickel Avonte Maddox for the season after he landed on injured reserve with a pectoral injury.

However, they have the perfect plan to replace him starting Monday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Eagles will move James Bradberry from starting outside cornerback to the inside nickel position.

This move won't be anything out of the ordinary for Bradberry, who cross-trained at nickel during training camp and has experience playing a few snaps at the position in regular-season action.

It also helps that Bradberry is familiar with facing the Bucs during his time spent playing with the Carolina Panthers and New York Giants.

In fact, prior to switching to the slot, Bradberry was notorious for being a menace when up against Bucs' top wideout Mike Evans, who had never recorded a 100-yard game with the All-Pro corner on the field.

And over nine games (dating back to the final game of 2016), Evans had logged a total of 39 receptions for 534 yards and three touchdowns. That means he averaged just four receptions for 58 yards and less than a touchdown (0.3) against Bradberry.

You can compare those numbers to his other 130 career games where he's averaged at least five receptions for 78 yards and .6 touchdowns.

However, tonight, Bradberry will be tasked with shutting down Chris Godwin and rookie Trey Palmer.

Kickoff is at 7:15 p.m. ET and you won't want to miss it.
