For an injury initially believed to be one that would hold Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young out multiple weeks, it looks like that isn't the case.

Panthers head coach Frank Reich said Wednesday that Young would be returning to practice, though he isn't sure how much he would participate physically.

Reich also described the return as impressive because the nature of the injury was initially thought to keep him out a number of weeks.

Young hurt his ankle sometime during a Monday night matchup with the New Orleans Saints in Week 2. He missed a full week of practice heading into the Panthers Week 3 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings.

And on Sunday, Young was listed as one of the players inactive.

As recent as Monday, Reich said he was unsure of Young's injury status heading into the week. But he also said the Panthers would know more by Wednesday.

And as it turns out, Young is ready to go — at least partially.

As for the other injuries, linebacker Frankie Luvu won't practice and Xavier Woods will "miss some time."

Wide receiver Jonathan Mingo remains in concussion protocol. And CJ Henderson, who injured his ankle Sunday, will practice.
