What a ceremony that was for Detroit Lions legend Barry Sanders. The Lions have unveiled their Barry Sanders statue outside of Ford Field and it is simply amazing.
Sanders deserves this so very much and it was cool to see so many former NFL stars and current stars show their respect. We got to see Pistons legends Joe Dumars and Rick Mahorn, Red Wings legend Steve Yzerman, NFL legends like Jerry Rice, Rod Woodson, Peyton Manning, Joe Montana, Billy Sims, Calvin Johnson and even Wayne Fontes was there.
Maybe the best one was former Cowboys running back Emmitt Smith, who said that Barry Sanders is the best. That'll solve that. No need to hear anymore arguments. It's over. Barry Sanders is the greatest running back of all time.
I can't wait to see it in person.
