The injury bug bit Carolina Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn again.

In Week 1, he suffered a non-contact injury that landed him on the injury reserve — a familiar place for the Horn, who has missed extended amounts of time due to injury during his career.

Horn took to social media to talk about what happened and his expected bounce-back from what he views as just another step to getting to where he is supposed to be.

"Appreciate everyone who reached out and checked in on me these past few days," Horn wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. "It’s a tough time for me right now, but I’m gonna keep pushing because I know the storm will eventually end. I will be back soon!"

The 23-year-old is also expected to undergo a procedure on the injured hamstring.

But it isn't all doom and gloom. Horn, though the timetable isn't clear, is expected to be back at some point during the season.

"I don't know the exact timetable, but we are optimistic that we have a chance to get him back this season and help us this year,'' Panthers head coach Frank Reich said.

Horn broke his foot during his rookie season in 2021. He also broke his wrist toward the end of the 2022 season. He has played in 18 of a possible 34 games for Carolina. That is not the number the Panthers want to see moving forward.
