At some point during the offseason a narrative formed that the Buffalo Bills' Super Bowl window won't be open much longer.

The reasoning?

Well there wasn't any reasoning that made sense. But you can check out the video below for some of the absurd things that were said about the Bills this summer.

Legendary sports broadcaster Jim Nantz, who will call the Bills' game against the Miami Dolphins this weekend for CBS, pushed back this week against the idea that Buffalo's Super Bowl window is closed/closing.

Nantz spoke with The Buffalo News ahead of Sunday's game.

“That's a ridiculous, ridiculous position to take,” said Nantz in reference to the Bills' Super Bowl window closing. “I've heard that far too many times. That's like the product of one person writing that and now that gains steam. Why is the window closing? They’ve got a quarterback who's going be playing for another dozen years who is one of the best in the league, if not the best. He’s right there. He's in your upper echelon. Starting a franchise, you’d be blessed to have him. I don't get that argument."

Nantz pretty much nails it there.

The biggest reason this storyline is laughable is because of Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

We don't hear this same narrative about Joe Burrow, Justin Hebert, or Jalen Hurts. And it's not like Allen is significantly older than those quarterbacks (Allen is 27, Burrow turns 27 in December, Hurts just turned 25, and Herbert is 25). But for whatever reason, he doesn't get the same respect — even though he deserves it.

Allen is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. He's a two-time Pro Bowler, he has the highest passer rating in a single postseason, and he's thrown only four interceptions in eight career playoff games.

This idea that Buffalo's Super Bowl window is closing isn't just silly, it's straight up disrespectful to Josh Allen, a guy who does nothing but deliver wins (54-25 in his career as a starter) while leaving it all on the field every Sunday.
