One crucial part of the process is over for running back Nick Chubb to return it the field for the Cleveland Browns.

Chubb recently underwent successful surgery on his MCL but still awaits another surgery. Now that the MCL and meniscus have been repaired, Chubb will have a second surgery to repair the ACL.

Team physician James Voos, MD, completed the surgery which is part one of two for Chubb and his left knee. It is the same knee he blew out in college.

A report that Chubb only tore the MCL looks to be premature, as the ACL will now be repaired and a 6-8 month recovery time is out the window. The team now hopes that Chubb can return at some point in the 2024 season, it doesn’t look like that will be by OTA.

There is no reason to rush Chubb back from the second very significant injury to the left knee.

Soon enough, the second surgery will be completed and Chubb will be on his way to recovery. It was an unfortunate end for Chubb’s 2023 season that started strong.
