That was a more than winnable game the Denver Broncos lost to the Houston Texans. Both teams went into the game 6-5, and whoever won, with the help of some other teams around the league, could possibly have a wildcard playoff spot.

So, in a way, that was a must-win game for the Broncos. They needed that win if they wanted to be one step closer to making the playoffs. Now, they are 6-6 and a few games back of the wild card spot, which is crucial because they are likely not beating the Kansas City Chiefs in terms of overall record for the division lead.

So, what is the next step here? Where do the Broncos go from here? Head coach Sean Payton was asked how he frames the season now, as the team sits at 6-6 on the year, and he had a pretty good answer.

"I don't have to frame anything right now other than, we certainly, with the way the season started, and where we are at right now, the margin for error obviously is slim, and yet, we are playing for a lot, and I think they [team] know that," Sean Payton told reporters after the game.

The Broncos are very close to putting it all together. They are in thin ice and have smaller than no margin for error. The three turnovers, and almost four, just cannot happen, especially against a team like the Texans, who have a great offense and will capitalize.

The Broncos started 1-5, and everyone was counting them out, as they should have. Since then, they have ran the table. Let's see if they can use this game as motivation.
