Cleveland Browns are paying the price for a physical game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 11.
To start their preparation for the Denver Broncos in Week 12, the Browns are without multiple starters on defense. Not practicing on Wednesday are S Grant Delpit (thigh), S Juan Thornhill (calf), CB Denzel Ward (shoulder), and LB Anthony Walker (hamstring).
On offense, WR Marquise Goodwin remains out with a concussion that he suffered against the Arizona Cardinals back on Nov. 5.
The real concern for the Browns this week is they’ll be without Walker, their signal caller on defense that wears the green dot. Kevin Stefanski called the injury a ‘week-to-week’ thing but that he was not a candidate for the injured reserve, so he won’t miss more than four games.
In Walker’s absence, LB Sione Takitaki will continue to fit in and the Browns should be just fine. Takitaki took over the green dot last week and will do a fine job filling in.
Delpit and Ward’s injuries aren’t expected to be serious and they should be able to face the Broncos. Thornhill missed last week’s game with a calf injury and his status is up in the air.
A full injury report will be made available later today here.
