The Denver Broncos have a ton of decisions to make this offseason. As things currently stand, they are in the hunt for a playoff spot, which means they won't be a top-five pick like they should have been last season. However, they could still have a pick that is somewhat high in the first round.

The Broncos did not have a first-round pick last year and only had five picks total, where they drafted Marvin Mims, Drew Sanders, Riley Moss, JL Skinner, and Alex Forsyth. Few of those rookies have made big impacts in 2023.

But the 2024 draft could be one that really elevates this team into contending for the division title. However, there are only certain things they need to target in that draft. Here are the five biggest needs in the 2024 NFL Draft:

5 Biggest Draft Needs for the Broncos

Center

The Broncos loaded up on the offensive line in the free agency market this last offseason. However, it's still not where it needs to be. Russell Wilson is pressured a ton almost every game, and in order to get the best version of himself, he needs to have time to go through his reads.

The offensive line as a whole could be better, but the weak link may be the center position. The good thing about the center position is the Broncos don't have to take one until day three because that's usually when even the top centers go off the board. It is a need, though.

Wide Receiver

The Broncos took Marvin Mims in the 2023 NFL Draft with their first pick. And he has shown flashes, for sure. He has been amazing in special teams and has had a few huge plays on offense. But who knows what the Bronco's plans are for Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy?

This offseason, there were plenty of rumors of the two receivers being traded away. Obviously, it didn't happen, but it could this offseason. Jeudy hasn't had the best season, so it's possible we see him moved. And why not go ahead and stock up on weapons, young ones at that?

Defensive Line (depth)

The Broncos added Zach Allen to try to replace Dre'Mont Jones. And, while Allen hasn't been bad, he certainly hasn't been as good as Jones was last season. They also have D.J. Jones, who is one of the best nose tackles in the league.

However, behind those two guys, everything else on the defensive Line isn't that great. The depth is bad and could definitely be better. This draft has some good guys on the defensive line who could really be used as depth pieces, too.

Safety

The Broncos have one of the best safeties in the league in Justin Simmons. Kareem Jackson hasn't been terrible, but he hasn't been reliable. He is getting much older and can't seem to stop targeting players. The backups aren't great, and the depth and possibly starting position need help.

P.J. Locke has shown that he can be managable. But he isn't getting better and, in fact, is about the same player he has been the last few years. Maybe it's time to get another guy who can be a great starter.

Offensive line depth

The Broncos signed Ben Powers and Mike McGlinchey this offseason and have Garett Bolles and Quin Ewers playing at an elite level. However, if those guys were to go down, the Broncos would be screwed.

The offensive line depth isn't great. In fact, it's one of the biggest holes in this team right now. That can easily be fixed through the draft.

Cornerback

The Broncos have the best cornerback in the league in Patrick Surtain II. They just drafted Riley Moss, who could blossom into something special. Outside of that, and Jaquan McMillan, who has played well, the depth needs help. They could even go after another big-time starter as well.

This draft isn't as great at the cornerback position as last year's, but it's a good draft on day three for defensive backs, which is a fact. Now, we need to see the Broncos execute in the draft.
