The Las Vegas Raiders have some huge decisions to make at the season's end. Just like two years ago and three years before that, the Raiders have to find the two leaders of their new regime – the head coach and GM.
After firing Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler earlier this season, they named Antonio Pierce and Champ Kelly as interims at their own respected positions. Mark Davis, the Raiders owner, has given the two the rest of the season to prove that they can lead this team back to their winning ways.
But there are plenty of other options out there the Raiders could go with. However, if they want to make their best player and prized possession happy, they better listen to Maxx Crosby because he knows what he wants.
"I have been very honest and open about those guys," Maxx Crosby said on NFL Network. "I love AP [Antonio Pierce] and Champ [Champ Kelly]. I have been close with them ever since they have been here. Selfishly, I want them to be the head coach and GM.
"I told Mark [Davis] the same thing. I have to take it as an extra motivation to help this team win so that they can be in the position they are in now for the long term. I have had a lot of change in my five years, and I just want stability."
The Raiders like what they have seen in Pierce and Kelly so far. Pierce already has this team playing harder than they were before and bringing back a bit of that Raider physicality that they used to be known for. Only time will tell who they will choose, but the guys they have certainly wouldn't be a bad decision.
