As much as everyone in Raider Nation hates the Chiefs, you can't lie that they have dominated the division for a pretty long time. On Sunday, the Raiders started up 14-0, and for a brief moment, there was a thought that maybe the Raiders were the better team.
Then, that all went out of the window, as the Chiefs not only made up the 14-point lead they were down by but then won by 14 points themselves. I think as soon as the game was tied at halftime, everyone started to kind of realize that the Raiders were definitely not better.
Besides Amik Robertson.
"We have lost a couple of them this season, but for me, this one hurts a little bit because I know we are better than that team," Robertson said in the locker room after the game. "I know we have more dawgs; I know we are better than that team. I'm just pissed off we couldn't get the win. We put the work in. We know we are better than that team."
I don't know if he watched the same game as everyone else. This is not me trying to crap on the Raiders either, as I love what they have done under Antonio Pierce this season. However, when players say they believe they are the better team, it usually comes at a one-point loss or even a touchdown loss.
This was a 14-point game that showed the Chiefs down 14 and then winning by the same amount. This was a game where the Raiders scored 17 points, three in the entire second half. The Raiders were obviously not the better team.
Now, I would like to add that Robertson and the Raiders have the chance to prove that once again on Christmas day.
Raiders’ Amik Robertson puts foot in his mouth after embarrassing loss to Chiefs
That doesn’t make much sense.
