The Atlanta Falcons have landed on Santa's naughty list this year.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the NFL has fined the club $75,000 and head coach Arthur Smith $25,000 for "violating the NFL Injury Report Policy" ahead of their Week 7 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Sometimes teams won't report injuries or an illness with hopes of getting away with it and gaining a better advantage against opponents.

The Falcons had failed to add starting running back Bijan Robinson to their Week 7 injury report after he woke up Saturday and Sunday feeling ill.

Instead, Robinson suited up, played 11 snaps and had just one carry for three yards in the Falcons' win over the Bucs. That was a huge drop off from Robinson's normal workload on game day, so his lack of playing time did not go unnoticed.

Smith should have just been honest with Robinson's health and he wouldn't be getting a lump of coal for Christmas.
