A.J. Brown's name has gotten mixed up in the latest Philadelphia Eagles rumor surrounding an unhappy player on the team.
Following the Birds' 33-13 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 14, the anonymous player is rumored to have called the Eagles' offense "too predictable."
"We are very predictable… Look at our pass routes compared to the Cowboys pass routes," the no-name player told JAKIB Sports host Derrick Gunn. "Our pass routes take too long to develop. Dallas gets their (bleep) out real quick."
Brown wants everyone to know that it wasn't him who said it, he told NBC Sports Dave Zangaro on Friday.
Zangaro adds that Brown never crossed paths with Gunner, who spent several years covering the Eagles.
He also notes that Brown was targeted 13 times versus Dallas, which would make it hard for him to be upset over Philly's offense.
Although Brown didn't say that, he did say the offense needs to "improve fundamentals," which is something the team has been working on leading up to Monday's Week 15 road match in Seattle.
Contrary to what the anonymous player may think after back-to-back losses, Eagles' head coach Nick Sirianni doesn't believe his offense is predictable.
"We obviously don't think so as coaches will," Sirianni said on Tuesday. "…You can't be predictable on anything you do. You know, and so, like I said, we're working like crazy to complement our plays, so there is nothing [to predict]. But you know, we'll look at everything. And we're doing our self-scouts, which we get every single week, to make sure we're not predictable and, and doing different things to hit all levels of the field."
The Eagles will look to prove doubters wrong — including the ones in their own locker room — against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football.
