There hasn't been much positive press for Bryce Young during his abhorrent rookie season.

But Sunday, in a Week 15 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, the Carolina Panthers rookie came up with his moment.

With the Panthers needing a score to walk away with a win and time winding down, Young engineered a 17-play, 90-yard drive — bleeding the clock and culminating in a walk-off field goal from Eddy Pineiro, Panthers win 9-7.

"It feels great,” Young said of the win. “These are a lot more enjoyable after wins."

On that game-winning drive, Young contributed to three clutch pass-and-catches.

There was the 19-yard pass and catch to tight end Tommy Tremble. That was followed by a 20-yard pass and catch to rookie tight end Jonathan Mingo. Then Young found D.J. Chark Jr. on a play good enough for 18 yards.

Where else would you rather be?” Young said of the clutch drive. "For me, there’s no other group I’d rather do it with. We all have faith in each other. We all believe in each other. It was just a great opportunity.”

The walk-off drive was the Panthers’ fourth win in team history without a touchdown and tied for their lowest point total in a victory.

It also marked the end of a six-game losing streak that clouded the Panthers locker room.

Funny enough, the Panthers' first win of the season came similarly: A Pineiro game-winning kick following an impressive Young drive.

Young finished Week 15 with 167 yards and a 93.6 passer rating. He completed 18-of-24 passes, good enough for 75 percent.

Overall, it was one of Young's better games — and a sign that maybe not all is lost with the Panthers No. 1 overall pick. And the Panthers' approach, not going easy on him and holding him more accountable, might be working.
