The Philadelphia Eagles are not as good as their 11-6 regular season record says they are.
They've lost five of their last six games, losing extremely winnable games to the New York Giants and Arizona Cardinals and failing to even score an offensive touchdown in their loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
But thanks to their miracle 10-1 start to the season, this disastrous Eagles team is headed to the playoffs and they're favored to win.
The Eagles enter Wild Card weekend as 2.5-point favorites over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
This comes as a slight surprise given how the Birds have collapsed in recent weeks and the Bucs have fared better, winning five of their last six contests.
Not only did the Buccaneers pull off more wins, but their defense looked strikingly better as well, surrendering just 16.3 points per game while the Eagles allowed an average of 30.3 points per game in the month of December.
Sure, oddsmakers not only factored in both team's overall records this season but they also looked back at Week 3 when the Eagles beat the Bucs 25-11 on the road.
But this is an entirely different ball game. Baker Mayfield and the Bucs were just getting comfortable with each other back then. 15 weeks later, Mayfield and his teammates appear to be on the same page.
However, it's clear as day that Jalen Hurts and his Birds are not.
