The Las Vegas Raiders lost 23-20 to the Indianapolis Colts, ultimately ending any playoff dreams they had for the 2023 season. Of course, most knew they would never make it, but they did get close.
They were really one call away from getting a chance to win it in overtime, had they gotten the ball first, but a blown call on a Jack Jones offsides call for the missed field goal by the Cots ultimately lost them the game.
After the game, plenty of fans were not very happy with Jones, considering he also had the penalty on the sideline not far before that.
After some further film review, Jones revealed that he was, in fact, not offsides, and the refs just had a very bad missed call. His latest Twitter post says it all.
Jones didn't have a crazy game this week like he did the last two weeks, but he wasn't terrible. He had a few missed tackles, but other than that and the two penalties on him that you would argue weren't penalties, he played alright.
The loss isn't on him, and, in fact, he is still looking to be a great investment the Raiders made.
