Pretty great! Only Iosivas forgot one thing: The football he caught!
Luckily, Burrow realized this and rushed to secure the football for his rookie teammate to keep.
Talk about a heads up play.
Iosivas has gotten plenty of playing time lately as Tee Higgins deals with a rib fracture. The sixth-round pick hauled in his first career reception last week against the Arizona Cardinals, but forgot to keep that ball as well.
Burrow made sure the rookie didn't make the same mistake again.
It's a play that Iosivas will never forget, and it mirrors the first touchdown fellow rookie Charlie Jones scored a month ago. Jones returned a punt 81 yards to the house in Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens, but the celebration was paused due to an apparent penalty against the Bengals. The flag was ultimately picked up.
On Iosivas' touchdown, a flag was also thrown on the play, but it was a defensive holding call against the Seahawks. Perhaps the confusion caused Iosivas to not keep the ball for himself initially.
But like he usually does, Burrow came in to save the day.
Bengals ascending player finally answers the biggest mystery about him
At long last, we have the truth.
