Can the Giants keep up if this game is a shootout?
The Dolphins put up points in bunches with its electric offense. If the Giants fall into a big hole early, one has to wonder if they have the ability to keep up.
That's largely because of the Giants' inability to protect Daniel Jones for long enough for the New York receivers to get deep enough into their routes. If so, the Giants have the players on the outside to make some plays. If not, then it will be another ugly day.
3 Players to Watch
Jalin Hyatt. The watch for #13 continues. The calls to see him get more playing time have come from fans and media alike, as the big-play element he brings is undeniable. That big play element is especially key if the Giants need to score points in bunches. However, if Jones can't get him the ball down the field, then one of his main strengths is neutralized.
Evan Neal. He was beaten badly at times last week, but a better performance from him will be needed this week, especially with Thomas out. Regardless of who he draws across from him – whether its Jaelan Phillips or Andrew Van Ginkel – he has to keep Jones upright.
Xavier McKinney. The Giants' talented safety will need to keep Miami's speedy wideouts from running by him, which has been more than a manageable challenge for the majority of the Dolphins' opponents so far this year.
