The Baltimore Ravens’ sluggish play on offense was the story of their road loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 5. For one, Lamar Jackson had a fourth quarter to forget.

Jackson turned the ball over twice in the fourth quarter of the divisional contest. The two-time Pro Bowler threw a costly interception to Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr., and on Baltimore’s next drive on offense, he wound up fumbling the football for the seventh time this season.

Jackson has had a bit of an issue in simply taking care of the football during crucial in-game situations.

As noted by ESPN Stats and Info on X, formerly known as Twitter, Jackson has turned the ball over a combined 11 times in the 4th quarter or overtime of one-score games over the past three seasons, which leads the NFL. Atlanta Falcons quarterback Taylor Heinicke ranks second on this leaderboard with nine such turnovers.

Overall, Jackson has logged six turnovers this season, with four fumbles lost and two interceptions thrown. He gave the football away a total of nine times in 12 games played in the 2022 campaign.

Jackson and the Ravens will now shift gears to a matchup against the Tennessee Titans coming up in Week 6. This is a Titans team that has had not enjoyed much success in creating turnovers as of late, tallying a mere four takeaways through five games played in the ongoing campaign.
