Game Two of the 2023 NLDS between the Atlanta Braves and the Philadelphia Phillies had one of the most incredible endings that I've ever seen in a baseball game.

After trailing 4-0 at one point, the Braves took a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the 8th inning on an Austin Riley home run that sent Truist Park into a frenzy.

While clinging to the one run lead, with just one out in the top of the 9th inning and Bryce Harper on first base, Atlanta reliever Raisel Iglesias gave up what appeared to be a gap double to Phillies outfielder Nick Castellanos.

Braves outfielder Michael Harris, however, did his best Andruw Jones impression and tracked the ball down and made an incredible catch against the fence. Harris then threw the ball into the infield where Riley, fresh off his 8th inning heroics, managed to grab the ball and quickly double-up an overly aggressive Harper at first base. The incredible play ended the game.

Harris, who is from Georgia (as it seems great Braves players almost always are), has a unique connection to a former Tennessee Vols player.

Trevon Flowers, who played safety at Tennessee from 2018 to 2022, actually grew up playing travel ball with Harris.

Flowers nearly went to Kentucky to play baseball before eventually signing with Tennessee (over Clemson) to play football.

Harris, who was committed to Texas Tech, was drafted by the Braves in the third round of the 2019 MLB Draft.

It seems like no matter what the occasion, there's always a Vol connection.
