Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel is easily one of the NFL's most popular figures and for good reason.
Not only does have the Dolphins in the conversation asking, "Who is the best team in the AFC?", he's been able to pull it off with a personality that is 1-of-1 and second-to-none.
His dry sense of humor and level of sarcasm isn't something that just comes about, either. The only way it exists is if people are born with it. Or, they spend years and years perfecting the craft.
Well, of course, for McDaniel, it's something that's always been a part of his personality, evidenced by a hilarious story recently told by comedian, Dan Soder, on the most recent episode of Pablo Torre Finds Out.
Soder explains how McDaniel used the ultimate cheat code in Deion Sanders when they played Tecmo Super Bowl as kids. And, of course, McDaniel frustrated Soder to no end by always being a step ahead, just like he does most defensive coordinators, these days.
But it was McDaniel's retort to Soder's complaints that bring the head coach's personality to life more than any quote from a presser:
It's impossible to not love this. McDaniel used Deion Sanders like he uses all of his current players – in the best ways, possible. It's just more evidence that McDaniel was always destined to make some sort of positive coaching impact in the NFL.
