Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson will miss his second straight game this weekend, and he could be out for more games to come.

Per Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot, Watson is on track to miss "multiple more games" as the Browns plan to hold him out until he he's pain free.

Watson's injury that he suffered in Week 3 against the Tennessee Titans has turned out to be a "deep contusion that presents or functions like a strain," per Kay Cabot's latest report.

While it was originally reported that Watson would not play this week on Thursday, this update is obviously major for the Browns. Watson was been unable to practice all week despite the team having their a bye the previous week. He was limited in practice leading up to the Browns' Week 4 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, but did not play in that game.

Here are the next several opponents the Browns will face:

  • Week 7: @ Indianapolis Colts
  • Week 8: @ Seattle Seahawks
  • Week 9: vs. Arizona Cardinals
  • Week 10: @ Baltimore Ravens

It's too early to tell how long Watson will be out, but it appears clear that the Browns are taking the safe route with their franchise quarterback.
