Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has already accomplished quite a lot in the NFL. From the NFL MVP award win in the 2019 season to the multitude of records that he owns, the two-time Pro Bowler has surpassed the expectations that were placed on him when the Ravens drafted him in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Former Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis is a fan of Jackson, and he does not believe that the NFL has already seen the best out of the versatile quarterback.
Speaking on “The Lounge" podcast ahead of the Ravens’ Week 6 matchup against the Tennessee Titans, Lewis touched on why he sees that Jackson is yet to reach his full potential in the NFL.
"That's what makes him so dynamic because he's willing to go through wherever he needs to do, take whatever hit he needs to take, whatever it is, which you don't want a quarterback to do that," Lewis said. "But if you Lamar, let Lamar dance. You got to let Lamar, I think over time, with everything that he learns, maturity finds you over time. Then he's going to understand, maybe I'm dynamic with my legs but if I take a really slow pace of learning what the game means all the way around, I get better.
"That's why I think his I think his he hasn't hit a ceiling yet."
Jackson has improved in at least one aspect of his game each season, and this year, he has continued to progress with his accuracy as a passer. He boasts a career-high 69.9 percent completion percentage through five games played.
Jackson and the Ravens will square off with the Titans from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in Week 6.
