Football fans in Brazil should have no trouble catching the first-ever NFL game in South America featuring the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Green Bay Packers on their local television.
The NFL announced on Wednesday that they have partnered with CazéTV, ESPN Brazil, and RedeTV! to make sure as many eyes as possible are on the historic game which kicks off Week 1 on Sept. 6 at 8:15 p.m. ET.
"We're thrilled to work with CazéTV, and with current partners RedeTV! and ESPN Brazil to bring to life this historic game in São Paulo," said Sameer Pabari, the NFL's managing director of international media. "With more than 35 million Brazilian NFL fans, the monumental reach offered via these innovative partnerships will take our game further — allowing both passionate and new NFL fans of all ages to experience this first ever NFL game played in their own country."
CazéTV will stream in Brazil on YouTube and Amazon Prime Video, along with Twitch and Samsung TV Plus.
Fans in Brazil can also catch the game for free on RedeTV! if the above streaming services are unavailable to them. Aside from the game, RedeTV! will provide analysis, exclusive interviews, and a behind-the-scenes look at the game from the field.
ESPN Brazil will also provide in-depth coverage, along with SportsCenter, and have live events in São Paulo the week of the game.
Eagles Fans Could Be Outnumbered in Brazil
The game will be played at Neo Quimica Arena in São Paulo. The stadium is home to Brazilian soccer club Corinthians and holds over 49,205 spectators, which is expected to feature more Packers fans than Eagles.
That's because Green Bay has the largest NFL fan base in Brazil, via A to Z Sports' Wendell Ferreira.
That's going to be tough to compete with, though Philly has one of the best traveling fan bases in the United States, so let's hope they can replicate that internationally.
For this game, the Packers will act as the away team while the Eagles act as the home team. Since this game is considered a home game for the Birds, it means they will no longer host the Packers at the Linc this fall.
Eagles fans can catch the game locally on NBC10 or stream on Peacock.
