Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders doesn't believe in ties — including one that specifically concerns him within the EA Sports College Football 25 video game.

Sanders holds the same rating as Georgia quarterback Carson Beck at 93 overall.

“I mean I don’t believe in… it’s a tie, I don’t believe in ties when it comes to quarterback,” Sanders said at Big 12 Media Days. “When it comes to quarterback ratings, I don’t believe in ties. It’s either a winner or loser, like let’s just get to the point.”

His father, Deion Sanders, also chimed in on his opinion of the Colorado signal-caller being tied with another player in the video game.

“I’m just trying to figure out how can Shedeur be tied with another person,” Deion Sanders said. “How did that happen? And how can Travis not have the highest score on the game when he’s arguably the best receiver and the best defensive back in college football? So, how can you not be the number one rated guy, period? I don’t understand that either.”

That 93 overall rating did make Beck and Sanders two of the Top 20 rated players in the game, as well as the two highest-rated quarterbacks. Behind them was Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers, who was the third highest-rated quarterback at 92 overall. To some, that may seem curious considering that the race for the title of "best quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft" is largely expected to come down between Beck and Ewers.

Beck and Sanders aren't the only players tied with the same rating, regardless of how he feels about it, with numerous players rated the same overall at several different positions within the video game.

It will be interesting to see just how "tied" the two truly are when they hit the field this fall.
