Kalen DeBoer started to log some significant wins throughout the spring, but once the summer months hit the Tide went wild with their recruiting momentum. And just this weekend DeBoer pulled off his most impressive recruiting feat yet!
Alabama signs back to back five stars
According to multiple sources, the Alabama Crimson Tide added two five stars in the same weekend! Caleb Cunningham, elite five star wide receiver on Saturday. Then Ty Haywood, a monstrous 6'5", nearly 300-pound five star offensive tackle. Both are second overall in their position group and inside the Top 15 overall of the 2025 recruiting class.

Caleb Cunningham, a 6'3", nearly 200-pound wide receiver with incredible ball skills and speed was down to Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State. He chose to roll tide, giving Kalen DeBoer his first five star wide receiver commit ever!
Cunningham is a three-sport athlete who has been dominant in football, basketball, and track for three straight years. He's averaged over 18 points per game on the basketball court, racked up over 1100 yards and 14 touchdowns on the football field last year, and starred in all the major jumping events in track. He's a versatile do-everything kind of player who should immediately earn a starting spot for the Tide in 2025.
Ty Haywood, Offensive Tackle
Haywood's commitment was a special one, as it gave Alabama their fifth five star in the 2025 recruiting class. That gave the Crimson Tide the lead nationally for most five stars in the nation, and also lands them the number one overall recruiting class as of this writing (according to On3's ratings)!
Haywood plays with unreal strength, speed, and hands, looking like a much more complete prospect than even most other five star offensive tackle recruits. There's a real chance he plugs in on the right side of the offensive line almost immediately in 2025.
