There have been some popular players to play for Tennessee basketball during the past decade, but not many have been more popular than forward John Fulkerson.

The 6'9" forward from Kingsport played for the Vols from 2016 to 2022, where his hustle and production led him to become one of the most popular and productive players on the court for Tennessee.  Fulkerson was unquestionably a Tennessee Vol through and through.

In case you forgot over the last two seasons with Fulky gone, he reminded Tennessee fans on Sunday night during the NCAA baseball Knoxville regional just how much he bleeds orange.  After a home run by Kavares Tears put Tennessee ahead for good 5-3 in the Vols' regional-clinching 12-3 win over Southern Miss, Fulky was shown on the broadcast waving the Tennessee state flag in the left field seats.

Fulkerson started his playing career with Tennessee all the way back in 2016, when he played in 10 games before his first year ended with elbow and wrist injuries.  He was a part of the 2018-19 team that won 31 games and held the #1 ranking for four weeks of the season.

He wrapped up his playing career in 2022, as he helped the Vols clinch their first SEC tournament title since 1979 with a game high 12 rebounds and 8 points in Tennessee's 65-50 win over Texas A&M.

Now, it appears we'll continue to see Fulky supporting the Big Orange as the baseball team makes a bid for its third trip to Omaha in four years.
