There are some teams in the NFL that have elite social media teams.

The Los Angeles Chargers come to mind for example.

The Chargers social media team will leave readers laughing on the floor with tweets like these. In fact, the Chargers social media team is so good they got nominated for Webby awards.

Then there are social media teams that try to follow in the footsteps of the Chargers.

While they can produce funny and entertaining content, rarely will they every one-up the better team.

Lastly, there are social media teams who are simply unaware, which is a situation the Dallas Cowboys social media team found themselves in the other day.

The Cowboys would put out this tweet on April 10th.

It would spark some hilarious replies, with many mentioning a theme that became quite apparent: This team needs a legit general manager.

Fans have been fed up with the Cowboys for the better part of this century, that is no secret.

But the lack of awareness to tweet something after having an offseason of losing players who very well should be Ring of Honor candidates and doing very little to improve is baffling.

We can only hope the Cowboys will have more on the field awareness than their social media team did just the other day.
