The Denver Broncos did what many teams have been doing. They took a chance on a player who has somewhere throughout his career been overlooked, so he wasn't able to be in the NFL. Or, something along those lines.

They took a flier on a guy in the UFL, or a spring league that has recently turned into somewhat of a developmental league for the NFL, similar to the G-League for the NBA, but also different in a few ways as well.

The Broncos signed UFL star Dondrea Tillman, a defensive end/edge rusher from the Birmingham Stallions, who have won their own respective championship the last three years in a row. Last season, Tillman finished with 3.5 sacks and 27 tackles.

But, when they signed him to a three-year deal worth nearly $3 million, they needed to make a corresponding move to stay under the roster limit. They have now done that.

According to Mike Klis of Denver Nine News, the Broncos are releasing Air Force inside linebacker Alec Mock, as that position group is a bit of a log jam.

Something had to be done, and you hope that with a young talented player like Mock, maybe he finds his way onto another roster or back onto the Broncos.
