Cleveland Browns have made their latest signing in free agency and it’s an addition to the defense.

After visiting with the team today, LB Devin Bush is signing a one-year deal with the team. Bush notably spent the first four seasons of his career with AFC North foe Pittsburgh Steelers, who selected them in the first round back in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Cleveland watched linebackers Anthony Walker Jr. and Sione Takitaki sign elsewhere in free agency. Walker is now with the Miami Dolphins and Takitaki joined the New England Patriots.

Bush has not lived up to his draft stock at No. 10 overall and spent last season with the Seattle Seahawks where he started three out of the 13 games he played in and made 37 tackles.

As a rookie out of Michigan, Bush had his best season with 109 tackles, two interceptions, one forced fumble, and a sack in 15 starts.

The contract numbers aren’t yet known but Bush will give the Browns depth at linebacker. It makes the second linebacker that Cleveland has signed in free agency with Jordan Hicks also joining the team.

Still just 25 years old, the Browns take a chance on a player at a low cost to see if anything is there. As mentioned, at worst he will provide the Browns with depth at the position.
