Cleveland Browns have wasted no time restructuring the contract of their new weapon.

Jerry Jeudy had his contract reworked to create more than $10 million in cap space. Jeudy is due more than $12 million on the fifth year of his rookie contract in 2024.

Cleveland has already restructured the contracts of Denzel Ward and Jedrick Wills Jr. this offseason to help the team create space and remain flexible. The Browns have been active in free agency and the created cap space allows them to do so.

The Browns acquired Jeudy from the Denver Broncos after shipping them two late picks in the NFL Draft that will be held next week. Jeudy has immediately made it feel like he is really excited to be in Northeast Ohio.

"I heard that the Browns were interested in me even two years ago," Jeudy said. "To actually be here it is a surreal moment. So, I feel like I'm at the right spot because they have been trying to get me for a long time, so I feel like I'm wanted here. As a player, you always want to be in a place that you feel welcomed and want to make it feel like home and want to be wanted. And so having that feeling is great."

Cleveland is likely to restructure other contracts and Deshaun Watson’s is one that could happen. It doesn’t mean the Browns are gearing up for another move, they could simply keep rolling cap space over into the year ahead like they did last year. No team spent more than the Browns last year in the NFL and they still have the ability to be active acquiring new talent.
