The commitment that the Buffalo Bills made on the day that legal tampering began appears to be keeping the defensive line intact as much as possible.

After re-signing DE A.J. Epenesa, the Bills are now set to bring back DT DaQuan Jones, who is one of the better defensive tackles left on the free agent market.

For Jones, it is a two-year deal worth $16 million for the big guy to stick around with the Bills. The deal was first reported by Cover 1. Following the news, Jones took to X (Twitter if you’re like me) and shared his excitement to be sticking around.

Jones spent the last two seasons in Buffalo but only played in seven games during the 2023 season due to a pectoral injury that kept him out the first 10 games. He was impactful upon return with 2.5 sacks and 16 tackles in those even starts.

During the 2022 season, Jones was good for 16 starts with Buffalo recording 38 tackles and a pair of sacks.

Bringing back Jones gives the Bills a proven veteran run-stopper who has spent a decade in the NFL after being a fourth-round pick back in 2014 by the Tennessee Titans. Of the 139 career games he has played in, Jones has started 133 of them.

With the news breaking after midnight on the East Coast, many members of Bills Mafia are going to wake up to some good news.
