NFL free agency is well underway and the Philadelphia Eagles have done a lot to bolster their roster through the first two weeks.

They added a sack machine in defensive end Bryce Huff and paid big money to upgrade their backfield by signing Saquon Barkley.

The Eagles also brought back an exciting familiar face in cornerback/safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson and inked three linebackers: Devin White, Oren Burks and Zack Braun.

Additionally, Philly added much-needed depth pieces in guard/center Matt Hennessey, wide receiver DeVante Parker, defensive tackle P.J. Mustipher, wide receiver Parris Campbell and cornerback Tyler Hall.

Of their own pending unrestricted free agents, the Eagles re-signed tight end Albert Okwuegbunam, defensive end Brandon Graham, punter Braden Mann and long snapper Rick Lovato.

They also extended left guard Landon Dickerson and kicker Jake Elliot.

Of the Eagles' original 20 free agents, 11 of them remain unsigned:

  • LB Shaun Bradley
  • LB Zach Cunningham
  • S Justin Evans
  • OT Roderick Johnson
  • WR Julio Jones
  • LB Shaquille Leonard
  • RB Rashaad Penny
  • CB Bradley Roby
  • RB Boston Scott
  • WR Quez Watkins
  • WR Olamide Zaccheaus

The only players I see the Eagles possibly bringing back from the remaining list are linebackers Zach Cunningham and Shaun Bradley, running back Boston Scott and wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus.

Cunningham stepped up last year, though it wasn't hard to stand out amongst a weak linebackers group while Bradley did well on special teams. Neither Scott nor Zacchaeus saw much action last fall, but they were reliable as far as backups go.

The Eagles could sign these guys to cheap deals and they'd provide much-needed depth but there's still a chance the Eagles look elsewhere to fill out the rest of their roster.

And they have eight draft selections to use come April, including three top-100 picks.
