FOXBOROUGH, MA — It has been a quick turnaround for Ezekiel Elliott since joining the New England Patriots.

However, he is not backing down from the challenge, instead focused on the anticipation of being back out on the field.

"Excited for a new start," Elliott said. "Still kind of trying to get the hang of things around here."

But, with the signing coming so sudden, Elliott hasn't figured everything out just yet.

"Still haven't found a place to live or anything, but just as fast as I can, getting that all that together."

And he's not looking forward to one key part of living in New England.

"I'm just taking it day by day," Elliott said. "Hopefully we got a couple more months before we get some snow."

The Patriots signed Elliott to a one-year contract on Aug. 16, after the running back visited with New England in July. He was even pictured having dinner with quarterback Mac Jones in Boston during his visit.

And he only has good things to say about his new teams.

"It's a good team. Definitely a good group of guys. You can tell the guys are close. They like to have fun, while still getting to work," Elliott said. "But this year, I'm just trying to get my head in the playbook and get us caught up in the game."

One teammate who he has gotten very close with is Rhamondre Stevenson, with the two being the only running backs on the 53-man roster at the moment.

"Rhamondre's been great, just kind of bringing me along, just trying to get me up to date with al the installs. I've missed I think the first 16 practices so had a lot of catching up to do and he's been a big help."
