The Baltimore Ravens returned to practice on Monday in preparation for their Week 1 opener against the Houston Texans. One notable absence from practice on the day was Mark Andrews.

Andrews has missed the Ravens’ last six practices due to an undisclosed injury. He did at the least take part in some individual work with trainers last week.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said during a press conference on Monday that the three-time Pro Bowler should make his return to practice on Wednesday.

“We’re still not pushing the panic button," Harbaugh said. "We should see him out there Wednesday."

Harbaugh has continued to downplay Andrews’ undisclosed ailment. He made clear during a press conference on Aug. 28 that he expects the veteran tight end to suit up against Houston and that “he should be fine.”

Andrews has been as reliable as could be for Baltimore, missing a mere two games over the last two seasons. He earned Pro Bowl honors for the third time in his career last season after hauling in 73 receptions for 847 receiving yards and five touchdown catches.

In the case that the Ravens end ruling out Andrews against the Texans, they would then call on Isaiah Likely to take hold of the starting tight end spot for the contest. Likely logged 36 receptions and 373 receiving yards in his rookie campaign last year.
