Everyone knew it was coming.
But after a slow start, with a little more than five minutes left in the second quarter, Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young scored the first touchdown of his NFL career.
Young was 6-for-6 on the first scoring drive. And it was capped by a 4-yard touchdown to tight end Hayden Hurst. Young also had a dart to Jonathan Mingo on third-and-8 to keep the drive alive.
Take a look:
Young, on this drive, showed exactly why the Panthers were willing to part with their top wide receiver DJ Moore in order to draft him.
The touchdown throw is even more impressive when taking into account he threw an early interception in the contest, but he didn't let that derail him.
The Panthers are scrapping against the NFC South rival Atlanta Falcons. He made the clear-cut decision on a play designed for him to have options, showing that when it comes to the mental game, he is already playing like a seasoned veteran.
