Christian McCaffrey entered the 2023 season as one of three active running backs with five Week 1 rushing touchdowns in his career.
That tally now stands at six after a spectacular 65-yard run to start the second half in the 49ers' opener with the Steelers.
McCaffrey bounced off a tackle and spun his way into the open field and, helped by superb blocking from Brandon Aiyuk and former Steeler Ray-Ray McCloud, raced into the endzone to put the 49ers up 27-7.
The former eighth overall pick, acquired in a trade from the Panthers last season, has 120 yards rushing on the day.
And he now stands alone in second place behind Josh Jacobs (7) for the number of rushing touchdowns in Week 1.
With the mood the Niners offense is in, he could yet move level with Raiders star Jacobs.

They’re in an excellent position to start 1-0.
