The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback had an awkward moment on Twitter on Monday twice.
The first was when New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers went down with what looks to be a pretty bad injury, and Mahomes forgot how to punctuate properly.
Instead of "I hate that, man," he tweeted out, "I hate that man."
You can see how that would look bad. Mahomes followed up the edited version of his tweet with his thoughts on hoping Rodgers is okay.
Here is where things get funny. Merriam-Webster, the dictionary, has an official Twitter account, and they replied to Mahomes' tweet.
"Proud of this edit," they tweeted. Mahomes followed up his error with another tweet, saying, "knew I was going to need that edit button on here one of these days."
