The Carolina Panthers have yet to see a great game from Bryce Young following the team's 21-19 loss to the New York Giants.

Young was 3-of-6 for 35 yards. He lasted a couple of plays into the second quarter before taking a seat. The Panthers had 51 yards in the first quarter while he was captaining the offensive ship.

It was a familiar story for much of Friday night. On offense, there was miscommunication, penalties, and blown pass protection.

Where the coverage, or the lack thereof, blew up in the Panthers' face was on the team's second drive, when the offensive line gave up while the Panthers were in a scoring position.

On that second drive, Young and rookie wide receiver Jonathan Mingo connected to produce a highlight play that involved Mingo bouncing off a would-be tackler before gaining 15 yards.

Here is a look at the full highlight reel of Young's dropbacks:

On the other side of the ball, the Giants' quarterbacks looked good — far better than Young. Still, Panthers fans shouldn't worry.

Young will be fine. He has a bright future. And everyone has raved about the leader that he can be. Still, there haven't been many moments to write home about during Young's preseason career. Only time will tell if he is ready for the bright lights of the regular season.
