Cam Newton's legacy isn't perfect.

He doesn't have a Super Bowl. And his peak may not have been good enough to earn him a spot in the NFL Hall of Fame. However, that doesn't worry him. Newton is perfectly content with how his career has played out.

“My impact gives me the comfort knowing that I had a little small piece of that player playin’ the way he plays,” Newton said on the Uno & Ocho Show.

Newton was a trendsetter in the NFL for a number of seasons. His duel-threat style empowered young generations of quarterbacks to do the same.

Some of those names include Lamar Jackson, Justin Fields, and recently Anthony Richardson.

“Bro, I got so much out of football,” he added. “When I sit back and I think—bro, I won everywhere. Did I win a Super Bowl? No. But I won a national championship. I won a junior college national championship.

"And even in high school, my high school was really known for basketball. We went to the state championship and we lost. We was 32-0. And we lost in the championship.”

The last season of football Newton played was in 2021.
