The Las Vegas Raiders had to pay someone to get off their team.
Well, kind of.
Last week, the Raiders placed former starting tackle Brandon Parker on the injured reseed list before the season ever really kicked off for the second year in a row.
Had he stayed on the Raiders, his season would have been done. The Raiders did that because they didn't know exactly if he would be back or not, so to play it safe, they placed him on IR.
Now, he has a chance to play sometime this season if he gets healthy, as the Raiders just paid him an injury settlement; that way, he could be released. We have seen this happen several times this season throughout the league.
Parker last played a game in 2021, where he started 13 games for the Raiders.
