Jaguars football is back and it's exciting! Jacksonville kicked off preseason play on Saturday in tremendous fashion with a 28-23 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

Offensively speaking, things were a little rocky to start, as Trevor Lawrence threw an ugly interception on just the second play of the game. Lawrence and his offense quickly bounced back with a seven-yard Christian Kirk TD on the following drive.

As expected, Tank Bigsby led the Jags in rushing yards. He made the most of his opportunities, carrying the ball nine times for 52 yards and even breaking a game-high 34-yard run on a near-perfect set of blocks from TEs Brenton Strange and Luke Farrell.

The offensive line had a perfect day in pass protection- Among the three QBs that took snaps for the Jags, none of them were sacked.

The highlight of the day came late in the 4th quarter, when Jags' 3rd string QB, Nathan Rourke pulled a "Houdini" by evading four sacks and throwing a touchdown right on the money to RB Qadree Ollison.

Rourke finished the game 9/17, 153 yards, and two TDs (one passing and one rushing). He led both teams with a 103.3 passer rating- quite the day for the former CFL QB.

Defensively, The Jags' finished with four sacks. Cornerback, Gregory Junior was everywhere. He forced a touchdown-saving fumble just yards from the endzone and recovered a fumble on a Kevontae Turpin punt return. Players that can force turnovers on defense and special teams, almost certainly secure a spot on the 53-man roster.

Oh, and the Calvin Ridley era in Jacksonville is officially underway.

This team is gonna be even more fun to watch when the games count.
