The Cincinnati Bengals didn't even make it past the first training camp practice before a fight broke out between teammates.

On Wednesday, defensive lineman Trey Hendrickson and offensive lineman Orlando Brown Jr got into a scuffle on the practice field.

Brown apologized to Hendrickson after practice and chalked the incident up to being a competitor.

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, the undisputed leader of the locker room, dismissed the incident as a non-issue.

"You see fights along the way when you play this game long enough," said Burrow. "They usually happen pretty quickly because that's when guys aren't very tired. Day one of camp, third rep. Guys aren't tired yet. Everybody's excited to be here. You know, adrenaline's pumping, so that's usually when it happens."

Fights happen during training camp. It's inevitable. In fact, it can be viewed as a good thing because it shows that players are competing at a high level in practice.

As for this particular fight, it appears that Hendrickson got the worst of it. Several Bengals reporters pointed out that Hendrickson had "claw marks" on his neck after practice.

Ironically, Hendrickson signed an extension on Thursday morning, which meant there were some fresh photos of him flying around social media. And one of those photos appear to show the aftermath of his run-in with Brown.

Ouch. I'm not totally sure what happened between Brown and Hendrickson, but it looks like Brown made his presence felt — which probably isn't a good sign for the defensive linemen that Brown will be going up against this season (though it's a good sign for Brown's ability to protect Burrow).

That's a pretty vicious claw mark which is probably why Brown was adamant about apologizing to Hendrickson after practice.

I'm sure that won't be the last fight that we hear about during training camp, but it might be the most intense fight that goes down between Bengals teammates this summer.
